Brighton Ki Society will be hosting an Aikido training workshop taught by Calvin Tabata Sensei on Friday 9th September 2016. There will be special classes for instructors, advanced students and also an open class for all students.

Calvin Tabata Sensei

Calvin Tabata Sensei heads the Northwest Ki Federation and is an 8th degree black belt in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido and holds an Okuden Ki rank. He is also a full Lecturer in the Ki Society, and the Chief Instructor of the Personal Kiatsu® School. He began his training in Hawaii and is a lifelong direct student of Ki Society founder Koichi Tohei sensei. Tabata sensei has been teaching in the Northwest since 1970. He established the Oregon Ki Society in 1974 and the Personal Kiatsu School in 1993.

Schedule and fees

Friday 9th September:

09:00 – 11:00 – Chief Instructors private class – (fee TBC)
11:00 – 13:30 – Chief Instructors meeting

Please note: An invitation from a chief instructor is required to attend workshops marked *

13:30 – 16:30 – *Test prep and Dan Testing (Open to 2nd Kyu and above) – £12.00
19:00 – 20:00 – Ki Class (Open to all Ki Society members) – £5.00
20:00 – 21:00 – Ki-Aikido Class (Open to all Ki Society members) – £5.00

£20.00 for all 3 afternoon sessions.
